I haven’t made a substantial update here in ages. My last major update was about six weeks ago. This one’s going to be kind of unstructured, just talking about what I’ve been up to as far as anime goes. Also, with the new season coming up very soon, I’ll talk briefly about what I intend to watch.
The chief reason for all this is that I’ve been sick, and additionally have been extremely busy. For those that care, I’m nearing my final few weeks in my Honours degree, I’m swamped with assignments, and I’ve kind of lost motivation. Just want to end it.

Yeah, sorry for the lack of updates of late. I meant to post every now & then, but things kept coming up and I never really got around to it. Well, things, and the fact that I just haven’t been in a writing mood. My class schedule was wiping me out; near the end of the term, I was so drained I was falling asleep behind the wheel driving home at the end of the day. Anyway, rather than take the time to individually update you on everything I’ve been watching of late, I’m just going to go through and hit the highlights really quickly. Expect individual updates to come later; I’m about to start a shitload of new shows, and I plan to start fresh in covering them here. For now though, enjoy the scraps.
Oh, by the way, I encourage you to pick up the most recent issue of Protoculture Addicts. Issue #85 with The Place Promised in Our Early Days on the cover. Why, you ask? Well, I just happen to have a two-page spread on the Boogiepop and Others movie published inside (pages 46-47, to be exact). My first published article, you’ll have to pardon me if I’m still a bit proud of it.

Anyway, Episode 3 of Uta~Kata is a beach episode. As expected, it also involves some swimsuit fanservice antics (though actually not as much as there could have been). Apparently the fanservice in Uta~kata makes a lot of people squeamish, but I’m not really sure why. Well, AnimeYuki & Sailor Spork finally finished subbing this series today. I’ve seen up to episode 9 raw (at the time, Lunar were the only subber and they were slooow), but once AnY took it up I ended up deciding not to see the rest this way.
Since it’s been quite a while since I saw what I did, and also since my Japanese is far from perfect, I intend to re-watch the series from the very beginning, and will be posting my thoughts here as I go.
