Looks like it’s time I wrote another update. I was considering putting this off until tomorrow but I think if I don’t do it now then I’ll probably never get around to it, and that would not be a good thing.

Well, I decided that there’s not much point in me doing these in-depth things with single anime eps because I can’t be bothered most of the time actually writing the damn entries. As such, I won’t be doing that any more. I’ve decided that every few days I’ll log in and post my thoughts about what I’ve been watching. Less stressful, don’t need to spend as long writing, and maybe I can actually get it to become a regular thing.
Well, as promised, time to blog episode 7. 11 screens tonight, and I’ll admit right now that I’ve seen to 10 (raw) so some of what I say may be tinged with a bit of foresight. I’ll try not to let any prior knowledge of upcoming episodes cloud the discussion. Anyway, most of what goes on in this episode is not really directly related to plot points covered in 8-10. This is pretty much the first episode that is focused on the plot completely - the pieces are set and the players have begun to move, and now its time for the action to kick in. Unlike Mai-HiME which pretty much mucked around until about ep 12 or so, Otome has learned a thing or two and gets things moving a bit earlier, which I appreciate quite a bit.
It’s been ages since I last blogged. Basically, I started at my job (Software Engineer @ CA) three weeks ago, and I’ve basically been too busy / tired due to not being used to being active for the hours I have been. I’m coming to grips with it now, so I decided I’d start blogging again. Initially I’d wanted to blog ep 6 and 7 tonight, but I don’t think I’ll get to 7 today. Warning: this entry is kind of stupid in points. 
I’m still kind of behind with this series, but with this entry I’ll be pretty much caught up. While I do have the ep 6 raw, I decided not to watch it just yet and wait until I’d gone over episode 5 thoroughly. Basically, I’ve been trying to catch up on a few other things (Eureka 7, Nanoha A’s) which is why I haven’t done this ep yet. I’m still really enjoying Mai-Otome, but I’m really starting to hope that they kick the plot into motion soon. Episode 6, based off the quick glance that I had, looks to be a silly filler episode, where 5 is basically a character introduction & setup episode. Really, it’s almost a simple continuation of the plot of episode 4.
