Not much to say here. This one took a reasonable amount of time, mainly in the linework. Reasonably pleased how she turned out. I chose her because several people had been asking for her for quite a while. Chances are I’ll work on Ako next, since she’s reasonably easy in comparison. Twelve left to go, I’m starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. On the SVG vs AI debate, I’m going to stick with AI for now, but probably start throwing both up.

Up until now I’ve been providing the original vector artwork for all my traces in Illustrator format (AI). However I have no problems providing these in Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format. Should I continue to put them up in Illustrator format, or would people find them more useful in SVG?
Just a quickie, though I spread this out over two two-hour sessions so overall it took 5 days to actually get her done. Quality is a little rough around the edges, but the image itself wasn’t too flash to begin with. Besides, when I still have 13 of these left to do, I have to pick my battles, and the general impression that I’ve gotten is that she’s not a super-popular character so I doubt anyone is really going to mind. This is actually filling a request (you know who you are).
No idea who I will do next, before anyone asks. I’m probably going to save Chao for last since I think her eyecatch is the last one left that’s really good. I may push through a few more of the simpler images next. If anyone has suggestions feel free to post them and I might not ignore them.
It came to my attention this morning that the RSS feed and any permalinks you may have to entries on this blog were borked. When I moved servers last month, I moved from a Windows Server 2003 box running IIS (which did not support proper URL Rewriting) to a Linux Box running Apache (which does support URL Rewriting). As such, you’ll notice that none of the URLs have index.php in them any more - in fact I had to take that out in order to get the blog working at all.
Anyway, the long and short of it is that there’s a good chance if you were relying on RSS to get entries from here, you may have missed two entries and you’ll want to update the URL. Or not, as the case may be.
It’s been a while since the last Negima trace I did. At the time I said I intended to do the rest, but was taking a break. Since then I’ve built a new PC and so I decided to take Illustrator for a spin on it to test it out. Remembered I had started the linework for Haruna months ago and never gotten very far, so I decided to finish her off.
I’m not promising that I’ll finish them, but I’ll definitely be trying to get some more done. I don’t really enjoy leaving things unfinished.
