Yeah, I lied. A whole pile of people have asked me to do Mana in the last day or so, and I looked at her eyecatch carefully and realised that there wasn’t a huge amount of work to do - the bulk of the trace is her hair. So here she is, everyone’s favourite gun-slinging cat-eyed demon-hunting mercenary shrine maiden.

I actually hadn’t noticed that Shaft are giving her the same eye style as Evangeline until I started on this - elongated cat-like pupl with ( ) marks around it. Rather than predict which girl I might do next again, I’ll just tell the truth: I’ll do whichever grabs my fancy when I next sit down infront of Illustrator. Which probably won’t be tomorrow night, as my sister has her high school graduation. Oh, the progress page has been updated again too. 
Several people have asked me for Asuna, and I noticed I hadn’t traced anyone from her row on the chart so here she is. This was actually a pretty quick trace, except I spent ages trying to get the panties to look right. I’m still not happy with how they look, but they’re good enough for now.

11 down, by the way. That puts me past 1/3. Yay. Next I’ll probably trace one from the other column of four that I hadn’t touched, which means it’ll be a toss-up between Chizuru, Fuuka, Fumika and Satomi. However I might decide to use some other bit of shaky logic and do something different. I tend to be a bit random.

I spent an hour or so fiddling around and made a page outlining my progress with my trace-the-Negima-girls project. Yes, those are the manga designs - I couldn’t find a decent set of them in Shaft’s style. Most of them are close enough, with a few deviations in hair colour.
The next one will likely be Asuna or Misa by the way.
Not much to say here. I’m tired so I wanted to do a quckie today (I tend to do traces on Friday nights because I’m staying up to grab Kanon), and I’ve always quite liked Sakurako. I’m really glad that they changed her hair colour again. Akamatsu can’t seem to decide if he wants her hair a light shade of red or blonde - it seems to sit in between - but Xebec’s dark red was absolutely horrible and didn’t fit her personality whatsoever. The blonde that Shaft have gone with is quite appropriate, I think.

Not sure who I’ll do next. I’ve had a few suggestions, but I often end up just selecting one that catches my fancy at the time. In unrelated news, I am 23 today. Or actually, yesterday, since we’re one hour into Saturday now.
There’s a bad joke about blonde cheerleaders in there somewhere, I’m sure of it.
