Yeah, I’m back from New Zealand. Finally got Evangeline done. I ended up having to completely re-draw the hand on her hips. Check out the original eyecatch and pay specific attention to how many fingers she has. Whoops. Additionally the brown linework made her shoes impossibly hard, and the area of blazer around her wrist was a mess. I basically re-drew these areas, in the case of the linework recycling the shoe lines from my Makie trace. Overall I’m pretty happy with how this has turned out.

I’ve also done an alternative version which uses dark brown lines like in the eyecatch. I like how this one looks more than the standard black lines, but your mileage may vary.

I ended up using up all my creative energy on Makie that weekend, so I only got the one done. Then this weekend I ended up being quite busy. I started Evangeline on Friday but ended up stopping a little way in. Saturday I was up late playing Final Fantasy XII and to be honest I forgot about things, and then Sunday I was busy all day and then went to see U2 in concert with my sister. I might get her done before Wednesday, but I don’t think I will - it’s going to be really hot tonight and tomorrow. 
Additionally, this weekend is my Dad’s 50th Birthday so I’m travelling to New Zealand on Thursday morning. As such you probably won’t see any more traces from me for at least another week. Sorry if anyone was anticipating it (though I doubt anyone was).
Since it’s sort of relevant… my plan at this point was to do Evangeline, then I’m not really sure. While I have said I want to get them all done, and that is still a goal, realistically I mainly want to make sure I also get Haruna, Asuna, Kazumi, Chisame, Mana, Chao and maybe Ayaka done. The rest of them are just bonus. Still, I may do some of the other girls before these if people want them, and if I decide I want to so some quick and easy ones. Feel free to suggest stuff. I can’t guarantee I’ll do them in the order suggested, but if a lot of people are asking for something then I’ll try and do it.
Makie! I looked at this image a few weeks ago and I really wanted to trace it, but there was text all over it and I wrote it off as being impossible, as I would have to basically re-draw a hand and an entire leg, and I’m not much of an artist. I gave it a go anyway, and it turned out that I managed to get her leg looking pretty much spot-on, and the hand looking pretty good. Overall I’m very happy with how this turned out looking.

Don’t expect another flood of Negima traces from me this weekend. Last weekend was special. I may get a second one done, but I wouldn’t count on it, and definitely not on any more than two for the weekend. And no, I have absolutely no idea who I will do next.
Upon finishing this, I realised that I really don’t like how it turned out. No use wasting that time spent on it though.

I’m once again unsure which girl to do next. I’ll probably decide tonight and get her done tomorrow. After that, don’t expect another one until the following weekend. I don’t usually get four days off work.

I completed Chachamaru’s colouring insanely quickly, in fact I cut some corners in her hair using clipping masks. I doubt anyone can see the difference though. Not sure who to do next. It seems to be a toss-up between Kazumi, Evangeline and Setsuna. I don’t want to blow through all the good characters early, though. It helps to have some good ones stashed to help motivate me to do the lesser characters.
