Well, the Fate/Stay Night anime finished over the weekend. More importantly, I also decided to watch the rest over said weekend, and I thought I’d share my overall thoughts on the series, both the positive and the negative. Only, mainly negative, unfortunately.

And here’s the final installment. Despite the initial set up being heaps easier (I didn’t have to composite shadows) Aiko was easily the most time consuming of the girls, because of her glasses and the fact that those glasses also cast a shadow. This is the most traces I’ve ever completed in a week. I have no idea what to do next, suggestions will be considered (but I should point out that I rarely get around to doing requests).
EDIT: Here’s one with all four of them in the same configuration as the OP
I’m really on a roll with these. 3 done in 72 hours. This is a record for me.
Uma was probably the hardest of the four, as there was a chunk of her hair that was too washed out to make out the details. I had to basically guess it, but it ended up looking reasonably good even so.
Two traces in two days? I don’t know what’s up either. I’ve got a cold at the moment so I’m dosed up on cold & flu tablets and a cocktail of various vitamin and mineral suppliments. Maybe I should get sick more often or something. Anyway, this time it’s once again one of the Magipoka girls, from the OP again. Once you get these set up they’re very easy and quick to do, so I’ll probably do Uma and Aiko as well. In fact, I suspect a few people will hunt me down and call me mean names if I don’t do Uma.
Simple trace with a nice end result IMO. This was a bitch to get started, because the light source in the OP changes angle and casts different shadows. I’ve sort of combined several different shadow angles together.
EDIT: I wasn’t happy with her face so I re-did it, along with some of the shadowing in her hair.
