So, on a whim yesterday I decided to watch a pretty sizeable chunk of Mai-HiME. Figured I’d watch the next four episodes…and six episodes later I decided enough was enough for one day, and stopped. Then I watched eight more episodes after that. So I’m up to 18 now, and hopelessly addicted to this series. I figured I’d do a blog entry and give my overall impression of things, but seeing as I watched a total 14 episodes in one day, I’ve decided to save all of us a lot of crying and suffering by breaking up what I watched into episodes 5-10 and episodes 11-18 (the point where I lied to myself that I’d stop, then binged some more). For this entry, 5-10, we have the introduction of two new favourite characters, and the beginning of things turning really dark, really quick.

Well, by now most people are at least aware of this quasi-sequel, and have probably seen the first ep. I’m not going to do the usual summary blog, because I’m pretty sure that almost everyone has done it already. Instead, I want to actually have a bit of a discussion about the actual things we see in the episode. Needless to say, this will likely be full of spoilers for both the first episode of Otome and the bulk of Hime. No pics due to lack of time - I might add some later.
I’ve finally gotten around to moving the old Anime-Haven gallery to PinkuBentoBox.
I suppose the only thing of note here is that if you like my traces, you can find them all in this gallery. When I get some free time (at the current rate, not for another 3 weeks 
) I’ll make a pinku theme.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, for those who’ve come here who are interested in Haibane Renmei, you can find most (actually, I believe all) of Yoshitoshi ABe’s original Haibane doujinshi in the gallery. These were the basis of the anime series.
As Nagi promised, the two of us sat down this weekend and watched through Haibane Renmei Episode 1. This should become a regular thing here, and we do intend to move on to Boogiepop Phantom once Haibane is done.

As some of you know, Nagi and I co-run (co-ran?) another site, Anime-Haven. This site’s pretty much devolved into a forum and gallery, and Asmodeus, the other admin and owner, has basically given us free rein. Our eventual decision is that there’s really not a huge amount of reason to maintain two sites, so we’re in the process of amalgamating the two into one site.
Phase one is completed - Pinkubentobox now has Forums. The gallery will be moved over later on.
