Jinki: Extend - Making Sense of the Plot

If you read my earlier entries on this series, you probably already know a little about it. Jinki: Extend, at its core, isn’t really that incredible. However, the way it’s been written and executed is extremely good, maintaining a sense of mystery and intrigue througout the series. I’ve seen to episode 11, and I know there are some people who have had trouble sorting out exactly what’s going on, so let’s discuss the plot. Consider this a spoiler warning.

Trace of the twins from Futakoi Alternative. While this trace incorporates many elements I enjoy, the overall product… I don’t really like how it turned out.

Whoever did the gradient interface in Illustrator clearly has a grudge against their customers. Also, I haven’t had a chance to see this yet, but initial reports are treating it very favourably. I’ve heard a few parallels drawn to Full Metal Panic? fumoffu, ie taking a mediocre, cliched piece of shit and making it awesome by giving it to another group. I enjoyed Futakoi, and was annoyed that the Shirogane girls were only in two episodes since they were easily my favourites, so this can only be considered a good thing.

Air - A Review

I’m going to be writing two entries on Air. This first one will be as spoiler-free as possible, attmepting to review exactly what the series is and why people should watch it. The other will be a discussion on the end of the final episode. So in other words, if you haven’t seen Air, you should still be able to read this entry.
