One of the most interesting series of this season, and also one that none of the big subbers seem interested in touching for some reason. Hopefully because they’re finishing off some of the stuff from last season first.

Just a quick entry here. Nothing really happened of import - if you’ve seen the first ten minutes or so of the first OAV, then you’re up to about the same point in the series. Yes, AMG TV is going very, very slowly. I’m also not sold on the character style. Sure, the animation is nicely done, but Belldandy’s hair is kind of boxy looking and a tad wierd. Anyway, hopefully they’ll bring Urd and Skuld in soon, because Belldandy is utterly boring on her own, it’s her sisters which make AMG interesting.
In other news, I’ve switched to AnimeYuki & AonE for my AMG TV subs. I compared them against Solar and felt that the font AnY uses is superior (I watch a lot of anime at night when tired, I like AnY’s clean subs as a result) and the translation was slightly better. Though there’s very little difference overall, AnY has put more effort into translating on-screen text. Plus their encode is better, as expected of AonE.
So I’ve been a bit slack this week. Writing a whole pile of updates now. First up, Ultimate Girls… if 4chan’s /b/ could be made into an anime, this is roughly what I’d expect the outcome to be.
Static Subs finally released the final OAV episode of Stratos 4.
Ho hum. Not much here really. Negima’s not that good yet, and probably won’t be for a while. There’s not really much to say here. Negima as a manga was reasonably poor at first, and didn’t really get good until around volume 3 when Evangeline was introduced in a big way. As such, I wouldn’t expect too much from Negima until a few more episodes down the track.
Ishin have subbed episode 2.
