Well, I got sick of Serendipity. It’s a nice package and all, but it still needs a lot of spit and polish before it’s quite as good as it could be.
I’ve migrated to wordpress. Built a Serendipity 0.8 -> Wordpress 1.5.1 database converter myself, from scratch, because Wordpress doesn’t support one yet. Mine does most of the important stuff, though I couldn’t figure out how wordpress handles trackbacks so I couldn’t build in support for that, and also Wordpress uses different password encryption to s9y so I decided not to have it import users. If people want to get copies, then I’ll clean it up and release it.
If you notice anything looking a little… funky… then the cause is probably some artifact left behind in the conversion process.
