Though this is an older title, I recently watched it and was very impressed. I’ve been on a bit of a YUA kick recently, and have found that I really enjoyed the series. The OAVs were better, however. And the movie is betrer than both the OAVs and the TV series, and by a huge margin.
I won’t go into depth on the events which occur. Basically there is a police inspector who was commissioned several years before to create a series of plans for terrorist attacks on Japan. His initial plan was an assault on Bokuto station, of course. The plan was so well-researched and terrifying that the Japanese police hushed it up.
It seems though that he made a new plan, one which dealt with the crippling of Japan’s economy. It would be worth millions. And it just happens to fall into Bokuto’s hands, though they don’t know it.
Everything that made the OAVs awesome is included in the movie. I mean everything. It is a seriously excellent movie, one which I really recommend that people go out and get. Should be quite accessible to most people actually, regardless of whether you’ve seen the rest of YUA. It’s available on DVD in the US and I believe there’s an Australian release soon.
