Ouch! Bad luck there. :(

I've still got my Nov '06 model, and it's still running, touch wood.

Definitely a RRoD. I think they've basically started replacing the systems with new ones now simply because refurbishing RRoDed consoles seems to often not work. So finger's crossed that I get a brand new box.

Is it under the extended warranty that microsoft gave us? I sent mine in and they sent me a brand new one to replace it plus a month of xbox live. Only missed it for a week (not even really since I wasn't home that week haha). You probably know but make sure it's the 3 lights, cause my friend thought he had red rings of death but it was only 2 lights lit up and they charged his ass for repairs. So what we thought of was using the reverse towel technique and over heating it to cause the red rings, I'm sure you knew that already tho.
