This is probably going to stir up some awful horrible internet rage against me again, but I sat down with a decent DVD rip of episode one of Nanoha Strikers, a copy of Yesy’s episode 1 sub, and the result is that there is now a nice, completely softsubbed DVD rip available for everyone’s perusal. This is completely unofficial and without Yesy’s permission. I was really doing it for my own personal edification, especially recreating the karaoke (I actually like timing subtitles, 
) but because it may be weeks before Yesy has time to bother releasing DVD versions - if at all - I thought I’d share.

thank you for the DVD verison release. BTW is there any difference from the TV and DVD?
There’s some animation touch-ups here and there, but nothing incredibly obvious like with the previous two. It’s mainly fixes to hair, better backgrounds and more consistent expressions. Also there’s a few shots of Fate and Nanoha where they were chubby and looked younger, those are fixed.
The original broadcast episode 1 was reasonably well animated to begin with. I’m sure DVDs to come will have more fixes.

392mb? what did you do (or not do)? h264 is supposed to give quality at smaller filesizes, not at zomghuge ones that are more than twice as big as it needs to be

@blah: I haven’t re-encoded, so your beef is with EiEn-acg, not me. I decided to use their high-quality rips rather than the 200mb anon-raws releases, because like all common video compression h264 is lossy and the anon-raws releases look awful, which sort of defeats the whole point.
@Anonymous: email me and I’ll send you the script. I don’t want to distribute it too much on its own because it’s mainly yesy’s work, not mine.

3 episodes per disc, I think. And I’ll only finish it this way if someone else subs it first, I’m nowhere near confident enough to translate myself.

I discovered your release a couple of days ago and it is out of seeders. If you can’t do a reseed, I’ll appreciate if you can send the script to my e-mail address, so that I can download the raw somewhere and assemble the full episode by myself.

I decided not to bother any more. Look for Taedium’s subs on Tokyotosho or similar, they’re using the same sources and actually have enough spare time.
