Actually, Negs, why don’t you provide SVG files instead of .ai? It’s more compatible with most vector tracing software and it renders on decent browsers, too.

The animation has been pretty consistent, so I don’t think they’re lacking budget. I think the problem is that the story was bad from the outset. The game was generally considered awful, after all.

And no, I haven’t been reading many blogs recently.

What I find strange is the series has some great character designs behind it (love T2), a somewhat decent plot, and a lot of veteran seiyuus casted, yet the series is pretty mediocre at best. You would think Shining Tears X Wind (man, try saying that 5x fast) would be a bit better with so much potential going for it.

…guess they pissed their budget away getting the vocal cast from the game maybe?

Maybe you just don’t read others’ blogs? Quite a lot of well known bloggers are praising Shining Tears X Wind, mostly for its “So bad that it’s great!” style.
