Student #1 - Aisaka Sayo

Another one done. This time I’ve done Sayo as I said I was planning to. She turned out really well, I think. I used dark blue for the linework and a bit of transparency, as well as some blends and some other tricks. Very happy with how it ended up looking.

I have no idea who I will do next. I’ve got a 4 day weekend due to the Melbourne Cup (yes, we have a public holiday for a horse race) so I imagine I’ll have time to get several girls done. I may decide to concentrate on some of the simpler ones and get them out of the way - I’m very serious about wanting to do all 31 of them.

However my free time may not end up being spent tracing. I’ve clocked only ten hours in Tales of the Abyss, I haven’t yet finished the first episode of Sam & Max: Freelance Police, I’ve got a bit of a backlog of anime to watch from the last week or two, and to make matters worse Final Fantasy XII is in the mail and Neverwinter Nights 2 releases in Australia next week.

Ah, yet another victim of the Square-Enix drug cartel. I’m an addict myself, I’m afraid to say, and have just last night started getting myself addicted to their latest cyber-crack.

So far it’s very pretty, but not a lot of substance. That’s probably due to the roughly 10 minutes of CGI out of the first 15 minutes of “play.” Thought I was playing a Metal Gear Solid title for a while there… Looks like it gets a lot better from there, though.

Of course, none of the FF games since 6 or so have had much substance. I don’t really mind, I have games like Disgaea and the Tales games to make up for that lack.

Sayo! Dear God, she looks fabulous, and it really helps that the composition of her eyecatch is completely kick-ass. Congratulations, you have made it to my desktop!
