As I said I would, I recoloured Mamiina. Mainly I was trying to improve the colour vibrancy and get rid of the jaundiced tinge she had to her skin.
EDIT: Also re-did Kaimu. Still debating whether to re-colour Alti.
EDIT2: Recoloured Alti too
Are there any others that need the colours fixed?
This, a day after someone posted all your traces in one group on the Simoun art BBS ;).
I withdraw earlier concerns; I like the increased contrast & saturation.
Thanks, my darling Granny looks so much better (and healthier) now with the skin tone fixed~
Though did you end up saving the .png’s in 256-color mode as at the start? The gardients look a bit funky on my system, at least?
…Nevermind. For some unknown mysterious reason my desktop had reverted back to 16-bit color :p.
Fixing the colour’s main upside is that it makes their hair look a lot more natural - better lustre and it looks more smooth and silky.
At least, that’s what I think anyway.
Re; HD scans: I think Muey’s on crack because the Simoun HD raws he is talking about are distinctively not-upscaled to my eyes. Still, because either way the raw capturing process for HD stuff is just imperfect… well, you saw how it was.
I/we have access to eps 8-20 at this point.
Request-wise, as long as you’re going to do 23-2 and 21-2, I’ll be fairly happy (until when we see 24-26, anyways!). I’m going to also third Jeff Lawson’s not-pandering Limone suggestion.
Actually, how about one of the three still scenes at the end of 21 with the singing?
I am *not* doing 21-2. Already said that. I just don’t like it.
At this point my plan was 13-1, 15-2, 20-2, 21-1, 22-2, not necessarily in that order and maybe some others if I can. Those are the ones I personally want to hit, though.
No love for the eyecatches in episode 23? :/
The Floe Alti one is quite… adorable, I think, even if not perhaps the sort of image that’d come first into mind when thinking of wallpapers :p.
The Yun Onashia one is All Kinds of Right (/Win and God if you’re a fanboy, I guess =), also - way Better than 21-2 if you ask me.
Love the expressions, and who could say no to superbly flowing tresses? :p
(…Though it seems like a lot of work with all thise hair-lines and Onashia’s ruffeled clothes?)
…Alright, I think I’ll shut up for now ;-P. Looking greatly forward to whatever you eventually do put out~ o/
this is taking forever.
But it’s looking mighty good.
As the ergonomics people say, take lotsa breaks. Pain is not gain.
hello what’s your name my real name is shekinah my brother name is frank paul brayan my another brother is jether uel
Well I was going along okay, and then Illustrator crashed and I lost an hour’s colouring work.
I’ll finish it tomorrow.
But, it is looking good! Don’t lose faith
Looks like I might have to abandon it. Illustrator is locking up for 5-10 minutes whenever I save. The vector must be too complicated for it or something, though that seems odd to me.

I need more RAMs.
That sounds awfully… odd? Surely AI should be able to handle more complex imagery than that, if it is to be used professionally? :/
Would you mind sticking the half-finished .ai up somewhere? If coloring is all there is left to it, I think I could give it a stab if that’s only okay with you. Memory-wise my machine should at least be able to hold up (2Gb) :p.
I’m going to try upgrading to CS2.
Disabled ‘create PDF compatible file’ and like magic it’s back to 1-2 second save times. Downside is that Photoshop can’t open it.
Now I’ll have to use Illustrator’s dodgy exporter.
Corel Draw has an autobackup every X minutes feature. Illustrator?
Your file may have developed a corrupted object, that you can’t see. Try manual copy/paste small groups of objects into a new drawing. If you do this methodically and save after every group, you’ll also be able to identify a visible object that is giving you trouble.
Dude, we’re talking about a file that has ~115 layers and probably close to 400 objects now. And it’s not even done. That’s not really an option. I think it just doesn’t like putting PDF data with that many layers in it into the file.
